Morning puppy hugs, my little piece of Earth with all it's trees, the sky no matter what state it's in, the ground whether it has flowers, grass, prickles, dirt or sand, the wind from a gentle breeze to a gum tree toppling gale, the warmth of the Sun, the glow of the Moon, raindrops & sparkling frost, the wildlife that visits or allows me to see it when I'm away, finally allowing myself to notice the good things in life.

Lovely idea for a thread @Shaz51 Excelling yourself as always xx And beautiful response @Exoplanet xx Hi to anyone else here too.
For me contentment means feeling at peace with both external situation and internal feelings. And that gives me the place to start from with progressing my goals. I have to say it's been a few weeks since I really felt content (with all the housing matters) but this weekend I realised I was feeling it again when up at the farm. Sitting in the cool sunshine, listening to the river run and the birds sing and insects hum, reading a wonderful book that took me to places far away. I saw crimson rosellas, one of my favourite 2 birds (the other is the coucal) and many other types of bird and of course the kookaburras laughing always puts a smile on my face that I feel deeply. Another important part of contentment for me is going into a timeless zone where the past and the future drop away and all there is is what I am doing (or not doing) at the time. I aim to have a little of this at the start of each day with doing some colouring, often a mandala. I also feel it when I cook something to share with others and it's a success. And you can tell that everyone's feeling it by the silence as they eat.
