Yes @Gazza75  ... very true.  Plenty of red drills there for Marilyn's cherry red lips. 👄 Speaking of which, my Marilyn DP is going pretty well so far.  Had a chance to do a bit yesterday and again today.  Its coming together okay.  I have much of the inner parts done.  Much of the background/outer areas is black or dark, and I am leaving that for last.  The face is looking alright.  Saving my red drills for next to last.  🤣  How are you doing anyway @Gazza75  ... bit concerned about you of late. But glad it looks like you have found some time to start this latest project. Are you on the farm this weekend? Perhaps you will be watching the Rugby World Cup final?

Hi @Former-Member , I'm doing alright, bit up and down.. I was on the coast over the weekend.  I watched the Rugby final.  I wasn't that fussed who won, but, pleased SA got up in the end. 

I should be heading to the farm this weekend if its not too hot on Friday.  Glad you are making progress on Marilyn, I'm sure you will have it finished in no time 🙂  Hope you are doing ok and hubby is behaving 🙂

Hi @Gazza75   ... I suppose we are all a bit that way at times ... a bit up and a bit down.  I too watched the Rugby final.  I didnt really mind who won either, but was maybe leaning towards England winning.  But good on SA, they deserved to win.

With my Marilyn DP ... coming along nicely.  Though did have a bit of trouble with some of the tiny squares ... too many similar code symbols.  Eg S and $, P and R,  M and N, etc.  And each with colours close in tone.  So its a bit tricky sometimes.  Once I got all the face done, I looked and realised I had made a few errors with Ss and $s.  Had to unpick a few.  But got it right in the end.  I'm glad I took your advice with the light pad ... definitely makes it easier.  Although I have noticed that some symbols and colours are easier to pick out without the light.  A bit odd in that regard.  I should take a pic of where I'm at now to show you before I finish it.  Might do that later.  I'm not doing that great the past few days.  And yeah, hubby is ... ummm ... being hubby.

Weather is a bit cooler here today, after a few mms of rain last night.  Hopefully more today and tomorrow.  I hope the cooler weather continues so you can get to your farm on Friday.

Here is a pencil case thing I did for my Mum last night.  I saw a lady that put drills on a rock and thought of some of you scallywags lol 🙂  I will give it a try if I can find some glue that works, not sure my double sided tape would stickle to the rocks very well.  

@Former-Member, I've had troubles reading some symbols before to.  Sometimes I find the light from my magnifying glass helps clarify what they are.  It's frustrating when they can use other letters and symbols, but, seem to pick ones that are hard to read.  Some of the canvas will have a background colour which sometimes helps as well.  Looking forward to seeing Marilyn if you get the chance, no dramas if you can't.  Glad you have had the time to do some DP.  Cooler weather here on the coast, we had a few spits of rain yesterday arvo, but, nothing much.

Hope you have a great day and the rain has got rid of the smoke that's been lingering around lately.

Wow ... that looks great @Gazza75  .. nicely done.  Good luck also in finding something that you can use to stick drills onto a rock.  I'm sure you will be able to find some fab rocks out on your farm.

Yeah sometimes the canvas colours are helpful, other times not.  I guess with Marilyn, many of the colours are very similar.  So thats not helping either.  Yes today is much cooler here on the mid-north coast too.  Until now, most of the rain has missed us.  Much of the rain inland, not making it this far, up here at least.  Yesterday we got all of 4mms, so most of the fire grounds near here, have not had any assistance at all from promised rain. I think most of the smoke got blown through to Sydney several days ago though, as its nowhere near as smoky the last 2 days. Still plenty of fire fighting planes, choppers and water bombing equipment flying around overhead though. Early this morning we had a bit of fine drizzle, but its now gone.  But I can hear some thunder in the distance now, and am hoping some rain is on its way.  Fingers crossed.

I might go and see if I can photograph Marilyn to post here to show my progress so far.
