Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Reallly @45Uw15H ??? Which world are you living in? It's rainy and cold here. I'm in a kathmandu jacket lol

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Hot here @45Uw15H , @tyme

Got the fans on and it is raining 🌧

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

@tyme Obviously i am closer to the tropics!

I'd take rain anyday over the humidity.  Lol

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

I agree!!! @45Uw15H !

I DON'T like humidity at all!

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Thanks @Ru-bee. It did rain and my friend pulled out, but it stopped later and I walked later, listening to a story through my headphones - that was good

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

I am studying a diploma in community services so I was reading this book from Dr Mark Cross and its Called Mental State. It provides some really good insights into many challenges we face in our society.. This book also speaks about Stigma. I am a CALD Australian, born overseas and came to Australia when I was 16 and I had my fair share of mental challenges over the last 30 years however, I have a different perspective on how to handle difficult situations so one day soon I plan to write a book about it.

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Oh wow @Ruby24 that's awesome!! I think the world badly needs new perspectives, especially when it comes to managing the difficulties of modern life!

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Thanks Jynx. I agree. There is an article from National Library of Medicine about people from CALD backgrounds often draw strength and comfort from their religion to support mental health. I can tell you this is very true in my case because I was born to an interfaith family (Catholic and Buddhist) but I considered myself Spiritual and not an Athiest. In many ways I truly appreciate the views of our Indigenous people that everything is connected to earth and spirit, we are all connected in an energetic level, regardless of our race, gender or ethnicity or background. When we can learn to respect everything and become selfless and more focused on helping others, it creates a ripple effect and we have a purpose for our existence!

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

@Ru-bee

I'm getting really confused by all the notifications lol.

I'm feeling a little lost navigating my way around.

Is there a way to simplify things?

Or maybe someone can give me some tips on how to understand the format.

I've never really used forums before, so I'm feeling a little intimidated lol.

I see the quick reply, but that doesn't seem to let me see the person's tag when I write the @.

My brain is already at capacity lol so if there are any quick tips,bId really appreciate them 🌻🙏
