Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

oh yes you can create a new thread by clicking start new discussion
most people will make one to follow each others journey, ask for advice, share struggles etc. theres no pressure to do that though, and you can start anywhere you like. basically what brought you here would be a good way to start a new discussion or a topic that your struggling with type thing.

@outlander

she’s just a black cat with a spicy attitude. Keeps things interesting for me. I never know what I’m going to get. She makes me smile. I would be lost without her.

I do creative journaling. Mostly just cutting and pasting pictures and stuff from magazines. Writing my favourite quotes with pretty flowers and drawings. Just anything to keep me busy and distracted from life for a while.

I’ll have to think of something to start a thread with. Maybe I’ll read through some others and see what they’re saying. Get some inspo. I’m sure I have a lot, it’s just whether others want to hear it lol 😂

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. I am wondering if there is any parent like myself who had to deal with a teenager of borderline personality disorder ? I don't know how to help her andshe is having an episode right now. Is there any support that someone would know I can get , it seems that families of 16 year olds are being pushed back in this society,  it feels awful. I only want to help her and support her. She has been  staying at her friends for the past weeks due to her anger and misunderstandings, but now the friend has left there is only the adult left at the house and I am worried. Can anyone please advise me or someone has been through the same ??? Bpd will not be cured easily I read . It feels hopeless.   Any advice please or what action I should take ? She

Hello @Mayar40

I'm hearing what a hard and scary situation this is, and that you're feeling the lack of supports right now. I see that you're wanting to connect with other parents, and while I can't offer guidance from my own lived experience, I did want to share a few threads that may be useful while we wait for other members to respond:

Daughter with BPD - SANE Forums

Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script - Page 65 - SANE Forums

As well as some resources which I know have been shared with others in similar situations:

Home - ReachOut Parents

Information for families and friends (carers) - Spectrum

Lastly, you might find it helpful to post in the Friends, Family and Carer's space as a more direct way to connect with peers

I know that was quite a bit of info to throw at you, but I hope that some of it is helpful to you and helps to reassure you that you are not alone this
