A long rave

Re: A Long Rave

Hi, everyone. Back here at a quieter time. In my nightie now, dinner finished, dishes done, things are quiet enough to be able to think again.

An update on the video: I've been in daily contact with the curator, the organisation she's attached to, and now too a musician the curator has brought on board to compose the soundtrack for the video. It's a great thing that he's doing that, but it also means I can't get hands on with things properly until the soundtrack arrives, hopefully by the end of this weekend. This gives me only three weeks at the most to complete the video. I'm stressed about it and that's making my days seem even bigger than they already are.

On top of this, we received a flat inspection notice today that is to happen the day after my video is due, adding to the unaccustomed workload suddenly happening around me.

I've also been out on the buses the past two days, keeping appointments already made, and will be out again tomorrow, and Saturday. Somehow I'm mostly keeping up with doing some housework too.

It's all good really, though I'm needing to take naps at odd times to reboot my nervous system when I've got too wired. Keeping all my fingers crossed that I can continue to surf this much bigger wave than I'm used to.

@CheerBear, I think we just missed each other by minutes again this morning. Hope your visit to the hospital today was good time out in the travel, and okay when you were there. Seems like it was for the best that the LF didn't go with you. In craft news, I've now sewn in the ends for the knitting and it's ready to be sent up to the venue tomorrow. One deadline almost down.

@Faith-and-Hope, glad to see you dropping in here between classes. Hoping the study is going well, and above all that you are enjoying it. I guess you will be through it at the end of the year. Wonder if you have any thoughts yet about what might come next.

@Appleblossom, I always like it when you talk about the zoo. It would be great if you gave longer accounts of what happens there, but I know you are trying to spend less time on the forum, and more on other real life matters, which is, after all, the most important thing.

@greenpea, cool that you are getting the regular outings with your lovely Irish nurse. Wonder if there were any particular artworks that appealed to you at the gallery, and what they were like. We are due for more rain on the weekend. It's so soothing sometimes.

@eth, didn't get a chance in the earlier post to express how pleased I am that you had a special night to celebrate the birth, with cooking, dessert and champers, and some flowers from lovely sil. Joy shared is the best kind.

@Teej, thanks for the celebratory images. Interesting dream about the wandering dog. Sounds like you felt calm and maybe even good about it.

@outlander, wonder if you got around to some crochet today. Hope things in general are treating you okay or better.

@Exoplanet, fantastic adventures in your last post. Makes me smile to read of your meanderings around the district, the dogs getting up a good puff and you walking barefoot in soft earth. Good to hear too that your fire-proofing efforts are proceeding step by step.

Kind wishes too to @Shaz51@Sophia1@saturnzoon@Maggie and everyone.

Re: A Long Rave

Good morning everyone 🙂 Hope there was some decent sleep happening for all last night.

Thanks for your encouraging feel good message last night @Mazarita 😊 Hugs for the exciting but very busy sounding time you're going through at the moment. Imagining how tricky it might be to need to wait for the soundtrack before you can get in to your part of the video. I hope it arrives on time and with enough time for you to be able to work on it without the extra stress of a shorter deadline. Yay for the knitting being finished! Will you go and see the display when it's up? Ugh for the house inspection. I'm expecting notice of ours to arrive any day now. I was thinking it may fall over the school holidays and am breathing big relief that it didn't!

@Exoplanet I really enjoyed reading of your adventures. Trying to imagine where you live to see all you that do feels like fireworks in my head! It sounds like nowhere I've lived (or can really even imagine living) before. Near 50 degree temps sounds awful though.

Hope you enjoy your visit today with step D1 @Shaz51

Great to hear you've been crocheting @outlander. Did you pick up a yarn cake?

Hi and thanks @saturnzoon 🙂 How have the last couple of days been for you and your sons? Not sure where you are and whether it's first or second week of school holidays. It's second week here - we made it!

@eth on my visit into the hospital I got to see a huge amount of tiny, squeaky, squishy, bundled up newbies. I get way too clucky around them! I thought of you and your new addition lots while I was ooohing and ahhing.

Hi also @greenpea, @Sophia1, @Faith-and-Hope, @Teej, @Appleblossom and all (this can be a busy little corner of the forum sometimes!)

The sun is shining bright here this morning and the birds are all out bouncing around the trees. My visit to the hospital yesterday wasn't very nice at all and my afternoon was emotionally draining but today is a new day. I'm hoping to spend it with my littles doing something nice with just us today. Not quite sure what yet but we'll figure something out 🙂

Hope there is plenty of good in today for all ❤

Re: A Long Rave

Morning @CheerBear and everyone (sorry brains not quite in gear yet!)

I did indeed buy a yarn cake. This ones shades of blue and green with some white. Ill take a pic later. I think thr name of it is 'faerie' I feel abit more motivated now too, i think it mightve been the dread with colouring changes so will make up a few smaller swatches and practice on those till i get better at it.
Im thinking a white border might look nice with these colours as it goes from light to dark back to light in their different shades
I went to spotlight yesterday, i reeeallly wanted to just pick up the yarn section and implant it in my backyard lol.

Are you working on anything? A day with LF sounds like a good plan 🌈
