@Adge It is a shock to see what happened especially when you care so much for them, sometimes I think loosing animals are the hardest as they rely on us. You were not to know what happened and try not to blame yourself, the shock affects everyone differently  please just take one second at a time,  they would have known you were special to them.

I bought myself some ex-rental (cheap) DVD's, to try to take my mind off it.

That's not working, because Automata (watching) turned out to be a thriller - I cannot stomach violent thrillers (not helpful).
