Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

no hospital isn't often ideal. it caused a lot of sh*t for me when I went to hospital and family haven't been supportive since then but never really was so not a whole lot of difference. it can seem quite overwhelming indeed. your psych can also help out with talking to family and work etc as well. its an option to think about anyway.
💛💛

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Hi @Molliex my memory is not good lately. Did you have an appt yesterday with your psych?
@outlander how are you? Oops sorry I was meant to ask @Molliex

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Thanks for sharing your experience @outlander. I will definitely think about it.

I am thinking of you today and sending strength your way 💜 💙🌻🦋

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

I understand @BlueBay, my memory is not good when my depression is really bad. I did see a psychiatrist in the weekend. It was ok, but only a first appointment so can't expect too much. He's tweaked my meds, so hopefully that helps.

Thinking of you today 💚💜🌻

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Glad it went ok snd he's tweaked your meds @Molliex  xx

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Thanks @BlueBay, I'm hoping it helps.

So I'm off work now for 3 weeks. My holiday is starting earlier because my daughter has had an allergic reaction to antibiotics. Her face is so puffy 😞 poor thing. I just hope she's better before I leave.

My GP is really concerned about the SH. He's really pushing for me to be hospitalised if I'm not improving by the time I'm back from my trip. I think I need to consider it this time. Hopefully med changes help - right now I just have hand shakes

So I have 2 days to get ready for the trip, look after my daughter, and not be tempted by SH and SI impulses. It's so rough, especially with how overwhelmed I'm feeling. I'm so scared I'll fall apart without my supports while I'm away. Dealing with a loved one dying isn't easy.

I won't be around as much and I can't post from overseas, so just posting this update now. If you're bored, pop by and leave a message. I believe I can still support posts🦋 💜💚🌻

👋 @BlueBay @Angels333 @Shaz51 @Former-Member @eth @Faith-and-Hope @Maggie @Gazza75 @MDT @saturnzoon @Former-Member  and whoever else is reading. I thank you all 💕💕🌈

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Hey @Molliex
Yeah you can support posts 🙂
I did that last year when I travelled. It's good 🙂
I know how you feel. It can be intimidating not being near supports. But I believe you can do it 🙂
I didn't think I could last for a month overseas but I did. It was really something.
We are here when you get back too 🙂
I do hope it goes smoothly as yes dealing with death is a tough one.
You will probably surprise yourself at how capable you really are inside deep down 🙂

Re: Dealing with intrusive thoughts - my struggle!

Yeah back to NZ to see my grandmother before she passes @BlueBay. Thanks, I'll be thinking of you too 🌿💜
