Its good to have that one finished. Ive got 2 yarn cakes so im going to give cushion covers ago now.

That's a great use of your cakes @outlander. Have you picked a pattern?

I've had a bit of time this afternoon to play with mine and am about 1/4 of the way through the border. I went with a single row kind of shell-ish edge (I wanted quick and easy - definitely ready to move on to the next thing now).

Yeah ive got a pattern i think. Its pretty easy @CheerBear its a granny stripe pattern but im unsure of how to sew it together. Ill show you a pic when i come back home.

That border sounds quick and nice. Will be looking forward to seeing it fully finished. I know it wont take you long to finish! You stitch fast!

Its a gold over one so i dont have to sew on buttons and its pretty easy to change if i want to

@CheerBeari found this one on the internet and it looks pretty simple at least to have a go at before trying other patterns. But this in the way id like it, i just have to work out how to sew it together and find a pillow i can use to measure against 

hi@Ali11 it is nice to meet you, i havent learnt to knit yet. im like crochet though. i havent made anything besides 2 blankets, a scarf and a beanie so want to give some other things ago. do you knit or crochet?
