Yes @Gazza75 it was nice growing up there. Had horses too which we borrowed from my Dads boss because he said they needed work. My dad was a station hand when we lived there. So my sister and I would ride our horses all along the river, pack a swag and build a fire to cook damper and boil the billy along the way. I loved it. Yes its amazing isnt it to look at the high water mark to see how much water has been running down those waterways in the past. Not sure we will ever see that again though, more's the pity.
I think I prefer Rugby to League. But my preference when it comes to footy codes, is AFL of course. Even though I grew up with both Rugby codes, and am only a recent convert to AFL when Swans moved to Sydney. With League I originally followed Newtown, switched to Canterbury when Newtown got the bullet from the comp. Then followed Raiders when they started in the comp. Still like my Raiders.
I will wait and see what to do with Dads Marilyn. Would love to get down to visit before Christmas, but just dont know if that will be possible. Hubby has numerous specialist apts in the leadup. I will get his Marilyn DP to him one way or another. Bit reluctant to mail, but will do so if no other option. I was hoping you would keep your pirate ship DP, but it sounds like it will have a good home with your parents if you decide to gift it to them.
Just finished my second last colour on my Marilyn! Only got the black background to go now, all one colour. I was a bit disappointed with my second last colour. There were meant to be 135 spots for this colour. I only had 131 spots left. Clearly I have put 4 wrong colours in somewhere where I have misread the code. 😮 This annoys me! 😡 But I cannot fix it now, cant go looking for 4 stray drills. Grrr ... Perhaps you can spot 4 'out of place' drills here. Check it out ...

I'll wait for the picture to show up and get out the magnifier @Former-Member 🙂
You might just be a few drills short in that colour, i was one short in the planet one I did and also quite a few in the starry night. Its possible you placed a few in the wrong spot, but, I have the feeling you are rather careful and diligent with it.
Sounds like a very nice way to spend weekends with your sister and enjoying the outdoors. I was blown away by the night sky when I got my farm, so much more to see than in most places.
I enjoy all of the football codes, but, less so league since my brothers injury. I played soccer my whole life, but, never really followed it besides my 'local' team which won the last 2 NSL comps, but, weren't good enough to be included in the A-league.
Wow, the Jets!! Don't bump into too many people that supported them. 🙂 The doggies have had some good teams over the years. I used to go for Parra and they were very good rivals. I really liked Stewart, Brad Cylde and Chicca F from the old raiders team. I was never a big fan of Meninga and thought him a little over rated. Not sure how he got away with playing with his arm so heavily protected for all those years. The ABC did a 'phantom call' where some of the old teams played each other, it was fun hearing the old raiders team. From 1-17 team there weren't any weak links + they had a pretty solid darn coach.
I won't be too far away from the ship, i have a feeling it will end up in the room where I do most of my painting anwyay 😉
I think Marilyn would be fine in one of those tubes you can get, but, I do understand it would be nicer to give it to him in person. You will figure it out 🙂

Okay thanks @Gazza75 👍
When I say I have misplaced 4 drills, I base that on how many drills of each colour is actually needed. My kit included a checklist of each drill code and the actual number of drills needed. Got heaps of spares though. I started with a few of the drills where there are only small numbers needed, like under 100. So I counted them as I went. It reassured me I had them all. Obviously I didnt do that with larger numbers. But this second last colour I know how many were meant to be used, and akso how many I placed. Sadly .. 4 less placed. I think its likely another similar coloured drill with near same code. Argh! But the good thing is that its most likely not obvious. Just annoying to me.
Anyway .. Just hard yakka now .. the bulk black background. Will just plug away at it when I have the time.
Heading out now. Catch you later.

This is my finished soft toy. The process of making it was much more challenging than I thought to put it all together and it's come out a bit lop-sided. I'm choosing to love it regardless. My neice is coming over from Perth this weekend with Thomas Charles the new baby. I'll give it to her then.

Thought I had posted 1 of these 2, but, looks like it was my imagination. The book is really nice, however, my photo is not. They were both fun and quick to do.

Very nice @Gazza75 .. you are so clever with this stuff. I finished my Marilyn this evening. Want'a see? Like you, I am not happy with the photograph, but I am happy enough with the completed Marilyn. I expect you'd be heading off to the farm by now. Enjoy your weekend.
@Maggie @CheerBear @outlander @Shaz51 ... @BronH I think your soft toy looks gorgeous .. well done.
