I think it may be indicative of increased struggles at this time of the year. Always more difficult for family dynamics at Christmas and holidays.

I'm OK but my chronic pain level is refusing to respond to suppression medication. Probably because I tried boosting my mood with a small gym effort yesterday.

Alas, right now, I'm in much more pain than my last post. Unfortunately I also wrote a post yesterday that got flagged as spam which really hurts. I'm already in pain, I come here for some sort of means of passing time. Whilst in that pain, I struggle to think straight enough to write, then that writing just gets flagged automatically as spam, and my note to the mods goes by without response.

Doubt I'll be hanging around here much, if at all, if this scenario represents the quality of the system.

my hearing aid is playing up big time and cant see anyone until january 2nd

Thank you for your understanding and consideration. I hugely appreciate the care your post has demonstrated.

I can imagine how frustrating it must be to have that hearing aid playing up. On the grounds that there's seemingly myriad shops popping up all over the place these days to provide hearing help. I can only imagine that is due to the continued evolution of microelectronics but it seems very strange. A possible fad like sleep apnoea stores were 10 years ago? Not a fad because the service they offer is not legit. A fad because the flood of stores will eventually merge into a less than a handful.

Meanwhile nigh on everyone seems to be getting around with hearing-aid-like 'earbuds'. So, yeah, I can really imagine how annoying it must be for you.

Over recent times, I've noticed an increase in places open on dec 25. Admittedly all hospitality based. They seem to be staffed by those who couldn't care less about a holiday that isn't embedded in their culture. If only this extended to other industries!

Thanks again for your post. As luck would have it, came through when I was really feeling the limits of this forum scenario - posting at length only to have it flagged as spam - were too hurtful for me.

Do you have anyone around who can tinker with your hearing aid to try and help?

@Sub-H-Alien , I will keep putting the hearing aid in the drybox every night until I can get to the city in January 

yes my osteoporosis pains are hurting a lots , have to see a pain specialist in 2025 to find the right treatment as i have stag 4 kidney disease
